Getting Started with Albums
Albums are the foundation of organizing your photos in Venusnap. Whether you're creating a collection for a specific event, trip, or project, albums help you keep everything neatly organized and easily accessible.
In this tutorial, we'll walk through creating your first album, setting privacy options, and adding photos.
Before you start: Make sure you have the latest version of Venusnap installed and you're logged into your account.
Open the Albums Section
From the Venusnap home screen, tap on the purple + tab of your screen. This will take you to venusnap dashboard where you can see cards of different actions.
Pro Tip: You can also access albums by swiping right from the home screen or using the navigation drawer.
Tap Create New Album
Look for the Create Album button, usually located in the top left corner of the screen. Tap this button to start creating your album.
You'll be taken to the album type selection screen where you will choose your type of album.
Note: If you don't see the create button, make sure you have a stable internet connection as Venusnap needs to sync with the cloud.
Select Album Type
You'll see three album type options:
Choose the type you want:
- Personal Album: For your private photos and personal memories
- Creators Album: Showcase your creative work and portfolio
- Business Album: For company branding and professional content
Choose your desired album type based on what you want to create. Each type is optimized for different use cases.
Name Your Album
Enter a descriptive name for your album. Good album names help you quickly identify the content later.
Consider using names like:
- "Summer Vacation 2025"
- "Sarah's Birthday Party"
- "Project X - Client Photos"
You can always rename your album later if needed.
Set Privacy Options
Choose who can see your album:
- Private: Only you can see this album
- Shared: People with the link or album number can view
- Public: Anyone can find and view this album
You can also enable or disable the Deliver feature, which controls whether others can send photos to this album.
Privacy Tip: For family events, consider using "Shared" with delivery enabled so everyone can contribute photos.
Add a Cover Photo
Select a cover photo that represents your album. This image will be displayed as the thumbnail for your album in the albums list.
You can:
- Choose from your existing photos
- Take a new photo with your camera
- Use a default Venusnap cover
A good cover photo makes your album easily recognizable at a glance.
Finalize and Create
Review your album settings and tap Create Album to finish. Your new album will now appear in your albums list.
Once created, you can:
- Add photos from your device
- Share the album with others
- Generate a QR code for easy sharing
- Customize additional settings
Congratulations! You've created your first Venusnap album.
